Wooden nest box for parakeets, with an entrance hole, a perch and a lid that folds open.
This nest box stands upright and is made of plywood, in a thicker board than our smaller nest boxes. At the front there is a round entrance hole with, below it, a wooden perch that sticks out: the bird lands on the perch, looks around calmly and goes inside from there.
The lid on top folds open. That lets you look into the nest without loosening the box or taking it out of the aviary; afterwards you fold it shut again. The lid stays attached to the box, so it cannot be lost.
There is a hole in the back with which you hang the box on a hook or a nail. You can also simply place it on the aviary floor or set it higher up — whatever works best for your pairs.
There are five sizes: 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 cm. Each size is a separate item with its own item number and barcode, and is supplied per pack of two.
