More about us

Product description

Metal front of 80 x 50 cm, in four versions.

The front is the barred front panel you fit into the breeding cage. It determines how you reach your birds: where you get inside, where you offer food and water, where a nest box or a bath house is hung, and how smoothly that goes day after day.

Every 80 x 50 cm front has two sliding doors that you slide upwards to get into the cage. On top of that you choose what you want extra: revolving doors that sit in the corner and swing outwards, or flaps in which you hang a bowl to feed and water from the outside.

There are four versions, from the simplest to the fully equipped one.

Available per piece or per pack of 10 fronts.

Benefits

Why breeders choose this front.

You decide how you get inside

Two sliding doors as the basis, extended to suit the way you work. The same format, four versions.

Feeding without opening the cage

With flaps you hang the bowl in from the outside. That saves time along a row of cages and keeps the birds calmer, certainly during the breeding season.

Revolving doors for nest box and handwork

The revolving doors sit in the corners and swing outwards. They give you easy access into the cage, and during breeding you hang nest box no. 1 or no. 2 on them.

Room for bath house and nest box

On a sliding door you hang the bath house, small or large. That keeps the space in the cage free and puts everything where you can reach it.

Fixed format, so interchangeable

All versions are 80 x 50 cm. You can switch version within the same row of cages without altering the cage itself.

Per piece or per pack of 10

Shops buy per piece, breeders and builders of cage rows per pack.

Which model do you choose?

Every front has sliding doors. What you choose on top of that determines how you work day to day.

Sliding door

The basis, present on every version: you slide it upwards to get into the cage. It takes up no room in front of the cage, because it moves within the front itself. On a sliding door you hang the bath house, small or large, so the birds can bathe without you having to put anything inside the cage.

Revolving door

Sits in the corner of the front and swings outwards. It gives a wider opening than a sliding door, handy when you often have to reach into the cage by hand. During breeding the revolving door does something else as well: that is where you hang the nest box, on the outside of the front. Nest box no. 1 and no. 2 both fit.

Flap

A small flap in which you hang a bowl. Food, water or minerals are given from the outside, without opening the cage. Along a row of cages that saves time every day, and the birds stay calmer.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask us most often about this item.

What is the difference between a sliding door and a revolving door?

A sliding door slides upwards within the front itself. A revolving door sits in the corner and swings outwards. Every front has two sliding doors; revolving doors are the version you choose on top of that.

Can I hang a nest box or a bath house on it?

Yes. Nest box no. 1 and no. 2 hang on a revolving door, on the outside of the front. The bath house, small or large, hangs on a sliding door. That keeps the space in the cage free and puts everything where you can reach it.

What are the flaps for?

You hang a bowl in a flap. That way you give food, water or minerals from the outside, without opening the front.

Which version do I choose?

If you mainly work with feeding bowls on the outside, choose a version with flaps. If you often have to reach into the cage yourself or want to hang a nest box, the revolving doors are worth considering. Anyone who keeps it simple takes the front with sliding doors only.

In which sizes is this front available?

This is the 80 x 50 cm. Besides it there are sizes from 40 x 30 up to 120 x 50 cm, and a number of sizes are also available in black.

Can I order per piece or only per pack?

Both. You order per piece or per pack of 10 fronts.
