Cantha red is a red colouring powder for red factor birds. You dissolve the powder in water.
The colour is fixed in the feathers that are growing at that moment. That is why you give it during the moult: existing feathers no longer change colour, you see the result in the new plumage.
How much you give differs from bird to bird. There is no fixed dosage that is right for every bird; you find the right amount through experience. Under Instructions for use you can read how to start carefully.
Available in 100 grams, 500 grams, 1 kg and 5 kg.

Ask experienced breeders for advice
The right amount differs per bird, per species and per breeder. Discuss beforehand with experienced breeders what amount they use for birds like yours.
Never simply rely on an amount you read somewhere.
Start with a small amount
Deliberately start low. Giving more does not make the colour better, and too high a dosage is not good for the bird.
Weigh accurately and note down what you give, so that you can adjust later.
Dissolve in lukewarm water
Dissolve the powder completely in lukewarm water and stir well. Prepare fresh colour water every day.
Wear gloves: the powder strongly stains skin and clothing.
Observe and adjust
Watch the droppings: if they turn clearly red, you are giving too much and should reduce the amount.
You only see the result in the new feathers. So adjust the amount calmly and not from day to day.
